#BeWell with Brighton City Partnership for Education

On 21 October teachers from the 13 schools and nurseries in the Brighton City Partnership for Education (BCPfE) came together to begin planning a series of #BeWell projects – creative activities designed to improve childrens’ wellbeing.

A key target for OFC is to engage with 140 children and young people through the #BeWell programme. To meet this aim we have begun working with the BCPfE, an established cluster of schools in Brighton & Hove.

Each school in the cluster now has a nominated ‘cultural ambassador’ and it was great to bring this group together for the first time. We spent a morning learning about the wellbeing benefits that can come from taking part in cultural activity and took time to explore and discuss the needs of our school communities. There was also a planning session, with teachers and members of the OFC team working together to co-develop new ways that we could use the power of creative and cultural experiences to have an impact on wellbeing.

Projects will begin in January – watch this space for more details!
